OSTEOPATHIC SCHOOL'S NEW MASTER PLAN CALLS FOR EXPANSION
Full Description:
The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine is looking to expand by acquiring nearby property.
A new five-year master plan recently approved by the school's Board of Governors recommends acquiring any property which may become available. That includes county-owned property.
However, school spokesman Jeffrey Cobb says eminent domain won't be used.
The plan also includes a one-point-two million-dollar expansion of the Founders Activity Center, one million dollars in improvements to landscaping, sidewalks and signage on the Lewisburg campus, and additional parking.
The state Higher Education Policy Commission must approve the plan.
